Role:
For our research department we are looking for a full-time experimental spectroscopist, specialized in instrumentation and method development. He/she will work independently and in multidisciplinary project teams on the development of new Raman instrumentation and methodology for diagnostic applications. He/she will play a leading role in specifying the spectroscopic requirements for new applications, testing and validation of new instrumentation and diagnostic routines, and in troubleshooting problems with existing instrumentation and methodology.
Profile:
The successful candidate will have a MSc/PhD in physics, chemistry or engineering, or equivalent proven experience in the field of applied spectroscopy for several years. He/she preferably has ample experience with dispersive Raman, mathematical (multivariate) modeling, experimental design, and with specification / testing / troubleshooting of spectroscopic instruments. Adherence to high quality standards in experimentation and reporting are essential for this position. The successful candidate must have a flexible working attitude to adapt to changing working conditions in a young and growing business. You should be fluent in English and familiar with basic computer skills and software. Knowledge of programming in a Matlab environment is a pre.
